That’s right folks, we haven’t examined the true power of the cars and what they are demonstrating on the movie screen. So that’s why we decided to bust some myths and turn on our stopwatches just to measure the acceleration and the speed.
Of course, this is a movie and the races have slow-motion details and some massive video workout in order to see what we actually see. Now we will begin first with the Race Wars from the second half of the Fast and Furious movie where a quarter mile race is on the way.
The Honda S2000 and Jessie’s VW Jetta, tuned to the teeth and both cars has ¼ mile time of 25 seconds! Can you believe that, 1960 Mini Cooper is faster than them? There is something weird isn’t it, if you watch carefully the cars at the beginning and at the end of the race didn’t look all the same. We think this myth is busted!
