A MAN who won a free trip to Puerto Rico has unexpectedly
become an internet sensation after his “miserable” photos on holiday went
viral.
David Blandford,
33, from Louisville, Kentucky posted a series of photos on Reddit titled ‘Won a
trip to Puerto Rico and couldn’t take my wife. Didn’t have a single second of
fun.’

Taken by a “dedicated friend”, the photos show him pulling a sad face while swimming in crystal clear waters, lying alone in his hotel bed and drinking a glass of sangria solo.
His post that
was initially intended as a bit of a joke for family and friends has been
viewed more than two million times on Imgur and
received nearly 3000 comments on Reddit.
Far from
the images presented in his photos, Blandford said the trip was actually
“pretty fun” and Puerto Rico was “definitely an amazing place and beautiful.”
Blandford said
he won the work trip for extraordinary service but there were lots of
presentations and team building.
“Hopefully I
never have to go to a place that beautiful without my wife and baby ever
again!” he said.
